As a freelance broadcaster, Louisa currently works across BBC News, Al Jazeera and TRT World. From London, Doha and Istanbul, she presents live coverage across the BBC News Channel, BBC Breakfast, BBC News at Six, BBC News at Ten, BBC News at One, BBC Radio 4’s Today programme and BBC Radio 5 Live; anchors Al Jazeera’s Newshour and business programme Counting the Cost; and presents TRT World’s News Hour. She has also presented CGTN’s Global Business.​​

Louisa started her broadcast career at ITV News, where she was a staff anchor and correspondent for six years and won a gold ITV News journalism award. She moved from ITV News to Sky News, where she reported from the ground across the UK on breaking news including the London terror attacks of 2017, Grenfell Tower fire, and a general election.

Louisa moved to BBC News in 2020 when the Covid-19 pandemic hit - an extraordinary and challenging time that changed the world and journalism. She has covered UK news and major global events, including the outbreak of the Russia–Ukraine war in February 2022. She was one of the first BBC journalists to report the breaking news of Moscow's invasion.

At Al Jazeera, Louisa has led live, rolling coverage of international developments including the current Iran war, US-Iran-Israel relations, conflicts in Lebanon, Syria, Sudan, the DRC, Ukraine-Russia, NATO summits, G7 meetings, and all the twists and turns of US President Donald Trump's global trade tariffs.

Louisa has hosted and moderated a number of business events and CEO interview panels, including for the London Stock Exchange and Bloomsbury's annual results event.
